Phonsavan

Had a good start to todays ride. Bike didn’t roll over and break anything so I was happy. Ride to Phansavan was great. Beautiful scenery and it changed a few times before arriving in Phansavan. Going over the pass near Muang Sui I stopped to see what they were growing on the mountainsides and it ended up being mountain rice. Was pretty sure rice needed to be grown in water like most paddy rice but not this stuff. Apparently they grow this on the mountainsides (hence mountain rice) and the only water it receives is from rain. I find it interesting…

Had some great street meat for dinner and getting ready for the plain of jars tomorrow. There are 3 sights that have a valley that is full of hundreds of ceramic jars. Some that are upwards of 6 tons. Will add some photos tomorrow.
