Bike Day 4
Drinking beer with ice right now, its actually not bad after today. Covered over 500k today trying to get closer to Hanoi and the Mai Chau Valley. I think im close to benh vien right now. It got dark and too many things were jumping into the road so had to stop. Tried a couple of towns until I found this place. Not bad actually could be worse. Bike Ride Day 3
Todays ride started well. Checked out of the hotel and the same receptionist didn’t try to pick me up… Headed out for breakfast that ended up being the baguette lady on the street corner. Ended up tagging along with the Ho family and driving to Mui Ne for a little time at the sand dunes and beach. If you ever get the chance give it a look. You can tell they are getting ready to build some bigger resorts around the dunes but right now its just a café and some Vietnamese guys renting quads from the 50s and a few old jeeps

Had a great plan set up with fake Cambodian license plates and other doctored paper work but they were on to us. For some reason they just wont let in a car from the US…strange no… (hope you understand I’m being sarcastic...) Our wonderful Vietnamese family put forth a valiant effort with a band of current and former border agents/police but no dice. The day wasn’t lost though
